Halepress is a Finnish brand known for its high-quality and user-friendly etching presses, trusted by artists for decades. Since 2024, the manufacturing and maintenance of Halepress products has been handled by SMachinex Oy in Sulkava. Previously, the presses were manufactured in Myllykoski. Production continues in Finland, respecting tradition while utilizing modern mechanical engineering expertise.

Product development never stands still – the Halepress product line and manufacturing methods are in continuous evolution. We focus on quality, durability, and user experience in our design process. By listening actively to customer feedback and collaborating with professionals in the field of printmaking, we aim to provide top-tier tools that meet the current and future needs of art graphics.

As of early 2025, all Halepress machines are CE marked, demonstrating compliance with EU safety and quality standards. At the same time, the Halepress trademark was officially registered, strengthening the brand's presence both in Finland and internationally.

In 2025, Halepress appointed Lekolar Printel Oy as its reseller in Finland. The partnership enhances product availability and customer service for educational institutions and professionals in the arts sector. 

General Information on Delivery and Services

We provide a 2- or 3-year warranty on our presses against material and manufacturing defects (excluding felts), depending on the model.

The standard delivery time from order is approximately one month. If multiple models are in production simultaneously, delivery times may be longer. We will provide an estimated manufacturing and delivery schedule in a custom quotation or on the product page in our online store.

Delivery is carried out by a freight carrier directly to your doorstep, or alternatively as a custom delivery and installation service by SMachinex Oy. Please indicate at the time of ordering if you would like the press to be delivered and installed ready for use at your desired location. A separate quote will be provided for this service.

Models M40 and M60 are relatively easy to move. Larger models, such as M80 and M100, often require on-site assembly (for example, in apartment buildings), unless the premises have sufficiently wide doorways and the press can be transported into place without lifting.

We now also offer the much-requested high-quality felt sets, cut to size for each press model.

Manufacturing multiple presses of the same model simultaneously is significantly more cost-effective. If, for example, a colleague or friend is also considering purchasing a printmaking press, we recommend combining orders. This allows the purchase price per unit to be reduced. We also offer relocation and maintenance services for presses, for example when a customer is moving premises.
