TERMS OF SERVICE

1. GENERAL

These Terms of Service apply to the online store of SMachinex Oy (Business ID: 3445212-8 , hereinafter "Seller").

By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms.
These terms apply to both consumers (B2C) and business customers (B2B), unless otherwise stated.

Applicable law: Finnish law.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENT

• All prices are in euros (EUR)
• Prices include VAT for consumers
• Prices may be shown excluding VAT for business customers
• Shipping costs are added separately
• Payment is required at checkout unless otherwise agreed

The Seller reserves the right to change prices.

4. DELIVERY

• Delivery times are stated per product
• The Seller is not responsible for delays caused by carriers or force majeure
• Responsibility transfers to the customer when the product is handed over to the carrier

5. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (CONSUMERS)

Consumers have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days.

Conditions:

• The product must be unused and in original condition
• Written notice must be given
• The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed

Exceptions:

• Custom-made or made-to-order products

6. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS (B2B)

Business customers do not have a statutory right of withdrawal unless agreed otherwise.

Orders are binding.

7. WARRANTY AND LIABILITY FOR DEFECTS

• The Seller is responsible for statutory defects
• Warranty terms are product-specific
• Warranty does not cover:
  • Normal wear
  • Improper use
  • Overloading or incorrect installation

Defects must be reported within a reasonable time.

Product images and illustrations are for reference only. The actual product may differ in appearance, finish, or details without affecting its intended use or essential characteristics. 

8. PRODUCT USE

Halepress products are intended for fine art printmaking (e.g. intaglio and linocut).

The customer agrees to:

• Follow user instructions
• Use the product only for its intended purpose

The Seller is not liable for damages caused by misuse.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Seller is not liable for:

• Indirect damages
• Loss of income
• Business interruption

Liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

This limitation does not apply to:

• Gross negligence or intentional misconduct

10. DATA PROTECTION

Customer data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.

11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation.

Consumers may refer disputes to:

• Finnish Consumer Disputes Board

Final disputes are handled in:

• District Court of South Savo, Finland

12. CHANGES TO TERMS

The Seller reserves the right to modify these terms.
Changes take effect upon publication.
